Prior to moving to the United States, Dr. Russell had a long career at AstraZeneca, where he was Global Head, Biological Science and Technology, with responsibility for the application of genomics, genetics and proteomics to both target discovery and the entire research and development process. Dr. Russell also has headed several functions, including Target Discovery, International Genomics and Biotechnology. Dr. Russell holds a Ph. D. in Physiology from Glasgow University, Scotland.

Requirements:

• Selling Ocimum Biosolutions’ LIMS Solutions, BioIT Services, and BioAnalytics Services
• Develop and qualify leads through both company-led marketing efforts and self-initiated territory/account activities.
• Develop a strong understanding of clients’ organizational structures and build relationships throughout their scientific, information technology, and executive levels.
• Uncover client needs and become the focal point within Ocimum for developing solutions to present to the clients.
• Make recommendations internally for new products and services to solve unmet needs.
• Provide program and/or cost proposals, bid submissions, and supportive documentation (i.e. RFP responses) to facilitate contract awards and ongoing revenue.
• Coordinate internal pre-sales and consultant teams to support client requests and anticipated needs.
• Provide accurate and up-to-date planning, forecasting, and reporting of results to effectively communicate successful territory and account management.
• Provide marketing data, competitive intelligence and other such information to assist continual improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum educational background is a Bachelor’s degree. (MS or above preferred)
• Demonstrable knowledge of Genomics, Proteomics, Molecular Biology, etc
• Previous sales experience (3 to 7 years) in the areas of LIMS, IT services, BioAnalytics services, informatics, and/or genomics services.
• Experience selling to research institutes, academia, biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients.
• Demonstrated track record in both complex sales (i.e. longer sales cycles) and selling non-tangibles (i.e. services and outsourcing).
• Computer proficiency and good analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Well organized, results orientated ‘self-starter’ able to work under a minimum of supervision
• Team player
• Willingness to travel (up to 50%)

Requirements:

• PhD (preferable) or Masters in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Chemistry or related subjects
• Overall experience of at least three years.
• Must have deep technical knowledge and hands-on experience of “end-to-end” genomic services protocols – gene expression, genotyping, etc
• Must have deep knowledge and hands-on experience of all related wet-lab activities – reagent/master mix preparation, RNA/DNA isolation/purification/amplification, digestion and ligation reactions, PCR purification/amplification/quantitation/fragmentation/labeling, sample hybridization onto Arrays, scanning, etc
• Must be familiar with all the equipment required for providing the above services – Vortex, centrifuge, thermal cycler, spectrophotometer/nanodrop, Gel Imager, Fluidics station, scanner, hybridization oven, etc
• Must have at least one year experience in the lab working with Affymetrix and related systems

Requirements:

• B. Tech / MCA / M.Sc (preferable Life Science background).
• Should have hands on experience in creating and maintaining Automation Frame
• Works using Rational Functional Tester or Selenium
• Should have developed libraries of testing functions using Java
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), excellent analytical skills, strong knowledge of testing methodologies, Reasonable programming knowledge in Java.

Requirements:

• 4+ years demonstrated success in working in the life sciences, preferably in an industry research settings.
• In-depth understanding, analysis and processing of data from various post genomic technologies and their applications.
• In-depth knowledge in gene expression( genotyping, chromosomal copy number, SNPs, gene signatures ) and sequencing
• Wide understanding of commercially available bioinformatics/clinical genomics tools and databases
• Ability to handle complex / multi projects in rapidly changing environment.
• Good knowledge on Perl, C / java and any relational databases.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing and documenting project requirements.
• Developing biocomputing algorithms for tools development and data analysis.
• Performing biological analysis on data from various domains like gene expression, sequencing , molecular lab.
• Co-ordination with sales team on projects to understand the expectations and requirements of scientists / lab.
• Co-ordination with other teams from IT, statistics, QA and sales team.

Requirements:

• Developing algorithms in the space of biostatistics
• Framing new ways of solving Biocomputing problems using statistics
• Pseudo code building documentation.
• Conducting team meeting periodically, reviewing and assigning tasks

Requirements:

• BE/B.Tech/MCA
• 4 -7 Years of experience in application development.
• Strong knowledge in Java , Servlets, JSP, Java Script, Hibernate and XML.
• Good understanding of frameworks like MVC and Spring.
• Hands on experience with RESTFul web services, AJAX, GWT.
• Good problem solving and communication skills are added advantage.

Responsibilities:

• Design /Architect different modules of system.
• Develop front end layer using frame works like Spring and Struts.
• Writing high/low level design documents.
• Mentoring Junior Developers and interacting with Mangers on a regular basis for project tracking.
• Monitoring day-to-day activities of team members and Code-reviews.
• Working with business analysts to clarify requirements, research issues and design solutions.
• Participate in Quality assurance processes.

Requirements:

• 4 years plus experience in developing web applications on Java Platform preferably on Bioinformatics Domain
• Should be proficient in Spring 2.5, Struts, Tomcat
• Should be proficient in Servlets, JSP and Java Script
• Should be proficient in Oracle ( SQL & PL/SQL )
• Should be proficient in Linux, Solaris & Shell scripts
• Knowledge on Velocity, PERL, C++ will be an added advantage
• Should be well versed with all the stages of SDLC and have good oral & written skills
